Virginie T. is a family-owned champagne house founded by Virginie Taittinger and her son Ferdinand Pougatch-Taittinger in 2008.
Virginie's father Claude Taittinger led the Taittinger champagne house for 46 years and her mother Catherine de Suarez d'Aulan came from the family that owned Piper-Heidsieck from 1851 to 1988. 183 years of family history and experience from Champagne gathered in Virginie T.
Her vision is to create innovative and modern champagnes, while preserving the tradition and craftsmanship of her family.
Virginie T. focuses on long aging and works mostly with grapes from Premier and Grand Cru villages, including Verzy and Mailly-Champagne. Despite being a young Champagne house, her wines have become known for their refined taste and elegant structure.
Virginie T. is located in Sillery, at the foot of the Montagne de Reims, in the heart of some of the most prestigious vineyards in Champagne. The region is known for its unique terroir where the soil and climate contribute to the elegant and complex flavor profile of the champagne.
