ORIGINAL REGION

The historically "classical" zone of Valpolicella.

SOIL

The soil is a mixture of mainly clayey limestone rich in calcium, with a significant presence of stone and rock material. This type of soil gives the wines great freshness and elegance, which are crucial characteristics for long-lived wines.

VINEYARDS

The vineyards are located in a hilly area, at a varying altitude between 150 and 300 meters above sea level, with eastern and southeastern exposure.

HARVEST

The harvest usually begins in the last ten days of August and continues until the end of September.

FERMENTATION AND STORAGE

The grapes for this wine come from vineyards located on the "Ravazzol" hill. The fermentation of the dried grapes takes place in stainless steel tanks and then the wine is aged for 42 months in 3000-liter oak barrels.

TASTE PROFILE

The particular geological characteristics of the vineyard give this wine great freshness and finesse, important characteristics for its long aging potential. The aroma is complex and the taste evokes notes of pepper and dried tobacco, with hints of marinated cherries and balsamic nuances.
