Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru
"Our Blanc de Noirs is expressive and powerful by its texture. Its opening, marked by red and candied fruits, is the sign of great champagnes"
Virginie TaittingerVIRGINIE T. Blanc de Noirs is an expression of the purity of a single grape variety – Pinot Noir, sourced from three of Champagne's finest Grand Cru terroirs: Verzy, Verzenay and Mailly.
The large proportion of grapes from the Grand Cru village of Verzenay adds depth, elegance and suppleness. The low dosage in this Extra Brut (4 g/L) preserves the freshness of the wine and allows it to express itself fully.
Located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, Verzenay is a Grand Cru village on a hillside covered in vines, producing wines with strong character.
Mailly and Verzy contribute freshness, minerality and a saltiness that is unusual in a Blanc de Noirs.Brilliant sunshine, abundant harvest and perfect hygienic conditions – already at the first prunings we knew that 2018 would be a vintage wine, a great year.
