Ripasso Valpolicella Classico 2023

An elegant ripasso in a cherry-fruity style. Delicious!

A medium-bodied red wine whose aromas, in a more fruity and immediate style, are reminiscent of those of an Amarone. This wine is obtained through the traditional local method of allowing the wine to undergo a second fermentation on the Amarone lees ( ripasso ).

This ripasso has a wonderfully fruit-driven style and is very elegant in comparison to many of the ripassos available for purchase in Sweden.
Perfect wine for food, a creamy pasta with beef fillet or a piece of meat from the grill. Yum!

Grape varieties: Corvina Veronese 75%, Rondinella 25%

Vineyard work: The grapes for this wine are harvested immediately after the selection of the bunches destined to become Amarone. Vinification takes place in October, and the ripasso fermentation on Amarone lees takes place in March of the following year.

Harvest date: Second/third week of October

Aging: 24 months in large oak barrels

Alcohol content: 14%
