Amarone Classico 2019
Good fruity elegant style. Affordable Amarone from a great producer.
GRAPE VARIETIES
70% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella and Molinara.
ORIGINAL REGION
The historically "classical" zone of Valpolicella.
SOIL
The soil is a mixture of mainly clayey limestone rich in calcium, with a significant presence of stone and rock material. This type of soil gives the wines great freshness and elegance, which are crucial characteristics for long-lived wines.
VINEYARDS
The vineyards are located in a hilly area, at a varying altitude between 150 and 300 meters above sea level, with eastern and southeastern exposure.
HARVEST
The harvest usually begins in the last ten days of August and continues until the end of September.
FERMENTATION AND STORAGE
The grapes for this Valpolicella are fresh. The exceptional soil and the sloping position of the vineyard provide the necessary characteristics to produce a red wine of great prestige. All the best fruit from this vineyard is used for this Valpolicella instead of being selected for our Amarone. The wine is aged in 3000-liter oak barrels for 18 months after fermentation.
TASTE PROFILE
A wine of extraordinary finesse and elegance. Spicy notes, wild berries and hints of rose petals characterize the aroma. The taste is fresh and complex.
