Barbera d'Alba "Il Ciotto" 2023

Affordable Barbera, good and appealing taste.

Bovio's Barbera d'Alba "Il Ciotto" has a deep red color with violet hints. The aroma is fresh, fruity and floral. The acidity and freshness are clearly evident in the taste.

Bovio Winery's wines are always well-made and affordable and have therefore become a favorite for us.

Grape: 100% Barbera

Vinification and aging: Gentle crushing of the grapes.
Fermentation with indigenous yeast strains for approximately 8–10 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, where pumping over is done regularly to ensure optimal extraction of color and tannins from the grape skins. This is followed by racking and malolactic fermentation. The wine is stabilized during the winter, filtered and bottled in early spring.
