Amarone della Valpolicella Classico "Casa dei Bepi" 2016
One of our top 5 Amarone! Dark cherry, chocolate, balance. Yummy! The warm hues of the enchanting ruby red color reveal an elegant aroma, with fresh notes of juicy red fruits such as black cherries, blackberries, withered rose petals and sweet spices. Delicate notes of eucalyptus, toffee, licorice and chocolate follow immediately.
On the palate, the rich and noble taste of chocolate blends into the velvety texture of mocha. At first warm and extraordinarily soft, but in the end the wine shows off perfect tannins and a fantastic freshness. Incredibly long aftertaste.
The wine is the result of a selection of the very best grapes from our vineyards, harvested during the second and third weeks of October.
The grapes are carefully monitored throughout the appassimento period until they reach maximum concentration.
After a very gentle pressing, maceration takes place in a specially designed vinification tank for approximately 25 days.
After maceration, the wine is aged in new French barrique barrels for approximately 36 months.Despite an alcohol content of 16%, you don't feel any signs of alcohol, but it brings out the wonderful flavor palette instead.
The name "Bepi" is a historical nickname for the owning family, which has been known for its Amarone for generations.
